Boč
Štajerski Triglav, as Boč locals call it, is the most famous peak of the southern outcrop of the Karavank Mountains. The entire area of Boč is very overgrown and is protected as a landscape park. The mountain is easily accessible, which is the main reason for a large visit by nature and mountain lovers. Boč has two peaks of the same height, one peak belongs to the army, where there is also a television tower, and the other has a 20-meter-high observation tower since 1962. From the observation tower there are wonderful views in all directions. Below the two peaks in the grassy clearing is the Mountain House on Boč and the church of St. Nicholas. In the vicinity of the mountain lodge, there is a growing area of a very rare, protected Easter tree. This area also offers plenty of hiking and cycling pleasures.
