Cocosolito it is an area that is generating a great demand for business premises in the Free Zone of Colon on the part of new companies, for which the administration of that free trade zone has implemented several expansion projects, the most important being the construction of new facilities in the area of Coco Solito, a project that is developed in an extensive area adjacent to the international airport Enrique Adolfo Jimenez. According to the minister of Commerce and industry, the incorporation of the area of Coco Solito to the Free Zone of Colon responds to the huge demand of commercial premises which has received the administration of that free trade zone by domestic and foreign companies, as a result of the growth of the commercial operations that have been recorded in recent years. Also it has initiated the incorporation of the former Export Processing zones of Davis to the FTA, considering that this is the best way of promoting the development of that area is reversed, so that is why the most important thing this expansion of the FTA is that the same is complemented by the international airport Enrique Adolfo Jimenez, and the last stretch of the Panama-Colon highway, which added to the three ports operating in the province, and the railway will make the city of Columbus in a true trans-shipment centre, multimodal freight, which will impact positively the economy of this province and the quality of life of its inhabitants. This expansion of the FTA is certainly a must since the operations of the free zone are growing and this certainly attracts a larger number of companies. (ref:11978)
