Doreen has been a local Realtor in both Santa Cruz and Santa Clara Counties for over twenty years. Previously licensed as an Administrator for the Department of Social Services, she spent 7 years working for a large Retirement Community in Cupertino. Doreen's ability to communicate with seniors regarding one of their last purchases or lifestyle adjustment has earned her trust from all those she has helped and transitioned. Dedication to her career has won the dedication of past clients and community members. Continuing the active role as the American Diabetes Chairperson for Santa Cruz County, Doreen, along with volunteers and previous walkers, hope to raise $50,000.00 on October 2, 2004. This year the walk will be held at Natural Bridges. Snacks, beverages and a great band should make for a fun and successful day for this great cause. This year Doreen will be dedicating her efforts regarding this walk in the name of her little sister Jacquelynn D. Sampson. Jacquelynn passed away June 13, 2004 due to complications of this disease.
